BEATO ANGELICO

Giovanni da Fiesole called Beato Angelico (Vicchio 1395 - Rome 1455)
Italian painter, venerated as Blessed by the Catholic Church. The Dominican Friar tried to connect the new principles of the Renaissance, such as the three-point perspective and a new attention to the human figure, with old medieval values such the mystical value of light. Among his main works: the Nativity, the Transfiguration, the Annunciation, the Last Judgement.
