Tiziano Vecellio ( Pieve di Cadore 1490 - Venezia 1576)A famous Italian painter, he developed his own personal style for the use of colours which were applied with a quick and at times imprecise touch without any preparatory drawings: the final result is an the effect of immediacy with the expression of the figures being more alive and real. Among his main works there are the following: The Assumption (1518), The Venus of Urbino (1538), The Pietà (1576).
